NBSS Program: Basic Piano Technology

How did your military service inspire you to attend NBSS?

NBSS has an outstanding reputation for the trades. After reading countless reviews and having had a few recommendations to come here, I would come back to go through the program again. I highly recommend this school to those on the fence about learning a trade.

How did your military training help you be a successful student at NBSS?

My military training helped me show up early and get prepared before class. I could focus better as this was a much more relaxed environment than the Navy. The faculty were welcoming and pleasant to be around (and helpful too!).

What is your current job?

I am a self-employed piano technician and piano mover.

What advice would you give to someone considering NBSS or a career in the trades?

If you’re on the fence about going to NBSS, I would say to dive right in and see what they offer; you will not be disappointed.

Anything else you would like to share about your NBSS experience as a veteran?

I loved the military friendliness of this school, it felt like everything was being handled for me and I was just able to be excited about starting a new journey. Instead of stressing about who needs what form, I was able to focus on moving to Boston and keeping my focus in the classroom.
