Emmanuel Boursiquot

I was an architectural student in Haiti before I moved to Boston in 2009. My goal was to enroll at NBSS and learn carpentry. First I had to study English, which I did, and then I applied and was accepted. I was looking for a carpentry program based on traditional training.

I plan to keep improving my skills, and eventually I’d like to return to my home city, Jacmel, Haiti and work to preserve the architecture there including my grandfather’s house. Jacmal was founded in 1698 and there are many historic buildings dating from the early nineteenth century. I also enjoy painting, sculpting, drawing and making things.
