On Thursday, September 15, 2022, we enjoyed a concert and conversation with genre-bending pianist and multi-instrumentalist Marco Benevento. Shared live from our Advanced Piano Technology program space, Marco performed some of his new and classic songs. He also shared thoughts on his beginnings in music, keeping his creative mind active during the pandemic, and using pick ups and electronic equipment to “hot rod” a piano and create off-the-wall, distinctive sounds.

Marco played a new oak Kawai GX2 piano, on loan from the Kawai Piano Corporation. Over the past 15+ years, Kawaii has generously loaned the Piano Technology program numerous new pianos for our students to tune and work on.
