NBSS Violin Makers Win Awards in International Competition

Three alumni and one former instructor won awards at the 2012 Art Of Sound Violin Making Competition in Omaha, Nebraska. Raymond Melanson (the violin program’s first instructor) won grand prize, Peter Bingen VM ’06 won First Prize, Emily Kellerman VM ’05 (pictured) won best violin by a Maker under 30 years old, and Daniel Arlig VM ’02 received an Honorable Mention.
