How did your military service inspire you to attend NBSS?

It allowed me to utilize the financial resources that made it possible: the G.I. Bill.

How did your military training help you be a successful student at NBSS?

It inculcated the discipline and perseverance I would need to keep my nose to the grindstone, through good times and bad.

What is your current job?

I primarily work as a machinist for a biomedical company. I also tune, repair, and rebuild pianos on the side.

What advice would you give to someone considering NBSS or a career in the trades?

NBSS is only the beginning. Learn what you can while you are there, and do not get discouraged. Take advantage of the time the building is open after class and hone your skills.

Anything else you would like to share about your NBSS experience as a veteran?

The administrators, including [Director of Admissions] Rob O’Dwyer, go out of their way to create an atmosphere that is supportive towards military veterans.
