Michael Wilson PT ’11, PA ’12
Before I came to NBSS, I was a residential re-locator (which is a fancy name for a mover). A customer gave me a piano and I began to teach myself on how the piano was built and worked.
I chose NBSS because, through research, I learned it was the only school where I could learn the complete workings of the piano trade, and I like the history and location of the school.
The biggest obstacle for me was making the decision that piano technology was going to be my career. I’ve never committed or invested in anything this greatly in my life. To others considering piano technology, I say, the hardest thing about learning anything is taking the first step… go for it!
When I’m not working, I play in a folk/rock band and build furniture from antique appliances and pianos.
