Leadership Annual Giving

Since 1881, NBSS has been a beacon of opportunity, creating new pathways for all who walk through our doors. More and more people are seeking the life-changing benefits of our programs: connecting to our material world, building new skills, engaging new challenges, contributing to community, discovering meaningful work.

The Shaw Society

Named for our founder, Pauline Agassiz Shaw, the Shaw Society recognizes leadership donors who ensure the School’s ongoing excellence with Annual Fund contributions of $1,000 or more.

You can see our Shaw Society listing in the most recent Annual Report.

Your Impact

Last year, more than 150 Shaw Society members contributed a combined $850,000 in unrestricted philanthropic support. These gifts help fund the core operation of our School—providing student scholarships, faculty support, tools and materials, or special initiatives—NBSS students and instructors feel the impact of donors’ generosity every day.
