What led you to become a student at NBSS?
After researching potential woodworking education opportunities, I found North Bennet to be the only institution that would give me comprehensive training I needed.
What was the best part of your education?
The opportunity to learn from some of the most notable and knowledgeable furniture makers in the field.
What are you up to now?
I just accepted a position with the Naval Research Laboratory, Washington, DC, as a woodworker. In addition, I continue to operate my business making furniture, Sugar Wood Furniture.
Where do you get inspiration?
Nature – nothing in nature is linear.
Favorite tool or machine?
1 inch chisel.
What’s your proudest moment?
Graduating from the best woodworking school in America.
Best advice you’ve gotten?
Make two of everything.
Any advice for our graduating students?
Stray way outside of your comfort zone when selecting projects.
