In the Making: Autodesk
CategoriesIn the Making
“The Technology Centers exist within Autodesk to be a proof point for the future of the industries we’re looking to serve—architecture, engineering, construction, manufacturing, and design. We’re looking to understand in real time what is happening in the industries that we’re supporting.”
On Thursday, March 11, 2021, we held a virtual conversation with Athena Moore BB ’11, Global Community Lead of Autodesk Technology Centers and a graduate of our Bookbinding program.
In this wide-ranging conversation, Athena and In the Making host Kristen Odle discussed the origins and capabilities of Autodesk’s Technology centers, exciting projects and partners that Athena has worked with at the Boston Technology Center, the role of automation and innovation in their work, and how Athena’s unique background in bookbinding and conservation enhance her work at Autodesk.
The Autodesk Technology Centers invite teams innovating in design, architecture, engineering, construction, manufacturing, and emerging technologies to advance the future of making. The Technology Center in Boston is focused on the future of building, and is designed to support projects ranging from industrialized construction, digital fabrication, automation, and robotics in construction and beyond. In this space, resident teams test and develop solutions to improve how we build the places where we live and work.
