Brian Carroll PC ’99
What was the best part of your time at NBSS?
The access to the resources. The instructors, facilities, and projects made the entire experience productive and meaningful.

What are you up to now?
I am an architect and historic preservation project manager. I work for a County agency that owns hundreds of historic buildings. With my architectural training and the knowledge and experience I gained at NBSS, I have become the primary source within my organization regarding the technical aspects of the restoration and preservation of these resources.
Can you describe your work in just three words?
Constant project management.
What motivates or inspires you?
I describe my work in terms of caring for the historic sites under my control. I have a passion for the gentle, respectful preservation of these historical artifacts. I see myself as a steward of resources that will be in my care for a short time. They were cared for in the past and I will hopefully pass on sites that are stable and available for study and use by the public far into the future.
