In the Making: Studio Cassio

Nestled in the heart of Rome between Trevi Fountain and the Roman Colosseum sits Studio Cassio, a generations-old Mosaic Art Studio with origins from within the Vatican. Today, Studio Cassio is a thriving studio with projects spanning from historic mosaic restoration, to teaching the craft of mosaic to locals and visitors both in-person and remotely.
 
Speaking with us from Rome, Master Mosaicists Giuliana Medicova and Sara Gozzaldi will guide us through the history of their ancient craft and demonstrate how mosaics are made.
