In the Making Exhibition

In the last three years, North Bennet Street School’s In the Making series has hosted over 50 interviews with those who practice and appreciate craft in all its forms. With its start as an effort to connect the NBSS community during the pandemic, the programming has since expanded to include new voices, fields, and perspectives from around the world: artists, tradespeople, teachers, thought leaders, chefs, scholars, and more.

This exhibition presented the work of just a few of the dozens of individual voices from the years-long series. It also kicked off a new, fourth season of In the Making conversations which will be hosted by NBSS through the end of May 2024. Together, the exhibition and programming hope to promote the diversity of hand-based work and nurture a greater appreciation of craft.

The Exhibition was on view from Thursday, September 7 through Thursday, November 30, 2023.
