Kiemody Crockett CA ’14
I grew up in Boston and always knew I wanted to be a carpenter. A friend of my grandfather attended the NBSS Carpentry program, so I knew about the school.
A representative from the school came to my high school and, as I learned more about the school, it seemed like a good fit. If I didn’t get into the program I was considering the training program offered through the carpenters union, but this program has the advantage of being full time.
I was thrilled to be accepted to the program and to receive the a full-tuition scholarship as a Boston resident. I learned so much… about sharpening tools, miters, joints and more. I especially liked working out in the field, solving real problems, and learning from my instructor.
When not at work, I like to play basketball, hang with my friends and play with my dog.
