Lecture: Emmet Van Driesche

October 24, 2023

“What I’ve learned over and over in my businesses is that if someone asks you to offer something new, it means there’s way more people who would like the same thing. It’s an indication that there’s a lot of interest in that area, and you should say yes if you can.”

On Monday, October 23, we hosted a lecture with celebrated spoon carver, writer, small business owner, and teacher Emmet Van Driesche.

As part of the programming for our In the Making Exhibition where his books and spoons are on view, Emmet discussed his path navigating craft entrepreneurship, writing, family, and business.

“In the Making” is a public programs series where we connect with a range of new voices, fields, and perspectives. Learn more and view a full list of events on the series homepage.
