The recent presentation by Beverly resident and NBSS graduate Phil Lowe CF ’74 to the Danvers Historic Society is covered in Wicked Local Danvers. Lowe is pictured here talking with Joe Joslin (left) president of the Danvers Historical Society.

The article by Myrna Fearer begins:

“Whether it was a damaged piece of Chippendale furniture or a McIntyre of Salem highboy missing a finial, there’s a good chance it might have been restored to its former glory by local restoration carpenter Philip C. Lowe.

The Beverly expert craftsman recently spoke to members of the Danvers Historical Society at its October meeting at Glen Magna. Joe Joslin, president, told the society that he knew they would be fascinated with what the architectural conservator and founder of the Furniture Institute of Massachusetts on Water Street in Beverly would share. He was right.”
